01 · 310mm VEHICLE-GRADE EXCAVATION
Why driveways fail at the edges — and how we lock every granite kerb in ST2 concrete.
When car tyres turn on a driveway whose kerbs are only bedded on sand, the outer blocks push outward and wheel tracks start to sink. We excavate 310mm deep, set 100×200mm natural granite setts into a 150mm-deep ST2 concrete race and haunch, and compact 250mm of sub-base in three separate passes.
